by Stephen Rodgers
Well hello again. We seem to keep running into each other every Friday, have you noticed that? Me too! So, since you’ve come to expect it, here’s some interesting links that I thought you might enjoy this week…
VIDEOS
I thought people might enjoy a passel of videos for a change, so here’s some good ones that showed up this week.
- Mark Driscoll, Joshua Harris, and Francis Chan discuss what’s going on with Francis Chan.
- Mark Dever, Mark Driscoll, and James MacDonald discuss the role of the pastor in evangelism.
- CJ Mahaney and James MacDonald discuss humility.
- Mark Dever, Mark Driscoll, and James MacDonald discuss the multi-site church model. (In case you weren’t aware, multi-site is something of a hot topic these days).
APOLOGETICS
If you’re interested in apologetics, then you might like to know that…
- David B. Hart has a very well-written critique of the New Atheism in which he laments the passing of the “Old Atheism.”
- Joe Carter restates a classic argument against Naturalism in his article “Should You Trust the Monkey Mind?”
- And I only recently discovered this, but a website calling itself Last Seminary has quite the collection of articles. I haven’t read all of them, but I saw a lot of names from scholars I respect, so this could very well be a good resource for research.
AND IN OTHER NEWS
- Desiring God redid their website, and now has a new feature that allows you to track content more easily.
- Kevin DeYoung has a spot-on commentary on the role of reason in American society today. This was one of the best articles I read all week.
- For all the Paul Tripp fans, he has another article up over at Desiring God. This one deals with the role of surprises in the life of the Christian.
- And another great article that I read this week…the provocatively-titled article “Four Ways to Destroy Your Church” over at the Resurgence is worth reading. Several times.
Whew! That was more than I usually post, but I tried to break them into categories for you. See you Sunday!
