“Truth is so obscured nowadays and lies so well established that unless we love the truth w shall never recognize it.” (Blaise Pascal, Pensees, #739/864)
“Weaklings are those who know the truth, but maintain it only as far as it is in their interest to do so, and apart from that forsake it.” (Blaise Pascal, Pensees, #740/583)

Happy Friday everyone! Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose. So even though it is 2015 and we are officially living in the future, here’s another batch of free resources for you this month.
- The free audiobook from christianaudio.com this month is Charles Spurgeon’s Morning & Evening. That’s actually the devotional that we mine for material for our ongoing Spurgeon Saturdays series, so you should have some familiarity with that! Spurgeon is amazing, so picking that up is a no-brainer.
- The free book from Logos is Herbert Edward Ryle’s The Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges: Genesis. I honestly don’t know much about this one, but it’s there if you do…or if you’re just a completionist like me.
- The new edition of Tabletalk is out, on the topic of “The Good News.” Normally you can only get a subset of the articles online for free, but this month they’re letting anyone grab all the articles in whatever digital format you want. So check that out!
Ok, that’s our usual list of recurring resources…now on to a few of the other ones that have popped up recently:
- Jim Hamilton is the guy who teaches at SBTS and wrote a biblical theology textbook entitled God’s Glory in Salvation Through Judgment. I’ve heard really good things, and now the chapter on Deuteronomy is free online. Additionally, if you were planning on reading through that book as part of your yearly Bible-reading plan, it turns out there’s a plan for that as well.
- GK Beale is the guy who teaches at WTS and wrote a biblical theology textbook entitled New Testament Biblical Theology: The Unfolding of the Old Testament In the New. I’ve also heard good things, and now the lecture series that he based the book on are available free on iTunes.
- Bunyan’s The Pilgrim’s Progress is arguably one of the more important uninspired Christian texts ever produced, and Desiring God has just made a really neat ebook version of it available for free. If you haven’t read this one yet, I’d strongly suggest you make time. It’s fantastic.
And…that’s a wrap. Enjoy everyone, and hopefully see you Sunday!
