Welcome to the first post of Weekly Links, an ongoing series where I’ll be sharing some of the links that caught my attention during the week. My hope is that the articles and posts would be timely, encouraging, and hopefully expose you to so great Christian resources in the process. So without further ado, (or as Pastor John would say, “Since this post is not about you…”), let’s get to it:
- First up, since I’m going to be sharing a lot of links with you in the weeks to come, this post from m’man Frank Turk over at Pyromaniacs is probably the best way to get things started.
- Next up, Mark Driscoll is in the process of interviewing RC Sproul. Has RC Sproul ever been on the internet?
- And if yesterday’s post by Pastor John on the topic of thankfulness seemed rather timely, Dan Phillips over at the aforementioned Pyromaniacs has started a series along similar lines.
- Jared Wilson reminds us that if you’re getting tired of Gospel-centered preaching, then you’re missing the point. Which I suppose leads naturally into something that the Gospel should be doing in our lives, if we’re really getting it.
- And last but not least, Russell Moore would remind us that sin is never attractive, and whining is a sin. That’s the 6-minute audio version; for a written version, check out Patrick Henry Reardon’s complementary essay.
