It&#8217;s been quite a while since I&#8217;ve called a Friday\u00a0<em><\/em><em>feliz<\/em>, but it&#8217;s time to bring back the habit of providing some help for your growth in Christ with links that I believe will help towards that end. With that, here are this week&#8217;s links!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ryan Anderson has written a post on the <a href=\"http:\/\/dailysignal.com\/2018\/03\/08\/sex-reassignment-doesnt-work-evidence\/\">evidence that sex reassignment surgery does not work<\/a>, explaining the detailed 30-year study conducted in Sweden and its further implications. Joe Carter writes on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegospelcoalition.org\/article\/why-teenagers-are-becoming-trans-curious\/\">teen curiosity to self-identify as transgender<\/a> as well as the triple likelihood they would identify that way in comparison to adults. He discusses the social contagion thesis as a factor in this increasing trend. There is much here to pray for, and be ready to discuss with anyone who asks.<\/li>\n<li>Joe Carter also has been writing a monthly series of articles on what Christians should know about bioethics. This month, Carter covers <a href=\"https:\/\/erlc.com\/resource-library\/articles\/basic-bioethics-what-christians-should-know-about-abortifacients\" class=\"broken_link\">abortifacients<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Apologist and Biola professor Sean McDowell <a href=\"http:\/\/apologetics.com\/blog\/seanmcdowell\/how-do-you-talk-to-kids-about-god-interview-with-author-natasha-crain\/\" class=\"broken_link\">interviews apologist (and mom) Natasha Crain<\/a> about her recently published book,\u00a0<em>Talking with Your Kids about God: 30 Conversations Every Christian Parent Must Have<\/em>. She speaks on the importance of being able, as parents, to answer some of the many questions kids will have as they grow up in this world, and provides a helpful guide to that end. I don&#8217;t know if I agree with everything that is written in the book, but these are great questions to tackle, nonetheless. Trevin Wax also addresses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epm.org\/blog\/2018\/Mar\/2\/parents-kids-faith-grow\">how Christian parents can encourage their kids to own their faith<\/a> as they grow up. Scarlett Clay, a homeschooling mom, sounds a loud warning: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.desiringgod.org\/articles\/homeschool-will-not-save-them\" class=\"broken_link\">homeschooling will not save your kids<\/a>. Finally, Tim Challies gives some thoughts to the young believer: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.challies.com\/vlog\/young-christian-set-an-example\/\">set an example<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Is it possible to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.desiringgod.org\/interviews\/how-do-we-avoid-over-thinking-or-under-thinking-the-christian-life\" class=\"broken_link\">over- (or under-)think the Christian life<\/a>? John Piper provides some sound, biblical counsel to point us in the right direction.<\/li>\n<li>What do you when you are afraid? How can God help you in your times of fear? Marshall Segal writes some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.desiringgod.org\/articles\/when-i-am-afraid\" class=\"broken_link\">very helpful words<\/a> that points us to the God of the Word. Such a great reminder.<\/li>\n<li>Apparently, there is a growing trend among teens to engage in vaping. CCEF counselor Julie Lowe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccef.org\/resources\/blog\/young-people-dangerous-trend-vaping\">gives parents tips<\/a> in how to communicate well with their teens about this dangerous new hobby.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s all for this week!
