(CS Lewis,\u00a0<em>Mere Christianity<\/em>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>by Stephen Rodgers<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Welcome back! \u00a0It&#8217;s Friday, and that means I&#8217;ve got a collection of links and quotes (technically just &#8220;quote) for you. \u00a0So sit back, relax, and let&#8217;s catch up on what happened this week on the internet&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First of all, it&#8217;s a new month, and that means that there&#8217;s a new edition of Tabletalk. \u00a0This one focuses on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ligonier.org\/learn\/articles\/?tt=94\">10-year anniversary of 9\/11<\/a>. \u00a0I&#8217;ve also updated the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lighthousebc.com\/beacon\/?p=3373\">chronological index of Tabletalk issues<\/a> in case you want to look for it there as well.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s also a new edition of the 9Marks eJournal, continuing the topic of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.9marks.org\/journal\/pastor-and-his-staff-part-2\">the pastor and his staff<\/a>. \u00a0I&#8217;ve also updated the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lighthousebc.com\/beacon\/?p=2893\"> topical index of eJournal issues<\/a> in case you want to look for it there as well.<\/li>\n<li>Since it&#8217;s a new month, that also means that christianaudio.com has a new FREE audio book for you. \u00a0I know very little about this one (<a href=\"http:\/\/christianaudio.com\/prayers-a-personal-selection-michael-york-michael-hoppe\" class=\"broken_link\">Prayers: A Personal Selection<\/a>), but there&#8217;s the link if you want to download and check it out.<\/li>\n<li>In the interesting theological trivia section, Denny Burk argues for the possibility that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dennyburk.com\/was-the-apostle-paul-married\/\">the apostle Paul was a widower.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>It wasn&#8217;t that long ago that Pastor Patrick finished going through <a href=\"http:\/\/lighthousebc.com\/sermons\/feed\/podcast\/\" class=\"broken_link\">1 Corinthians<\/a> and came to the same conclusion as Nate Busenitz: we all speak in tongues. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thecripplegate.com\/facebook-gibberish-and-the-real-gift-of-tongues\/\">Sort of.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Craig Blomberg of DTS responds to the claim that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverseminary.edu\/craig-blombergs-blog-new-testament-musings\/did-none-of-jesus-disciples-live-long-enough-to-write-a-gospel\/\" class=\"broken_link\">none of Jesus&#8217; disciples could have lived long enough<\/a> to pen the Gospels. \u00a0To say that he is simply <em>more<\/em>\u00a0coherent\u00a0in his reasoning than some of the counter-claims would be charitable&#8230;to those making the counter-claims.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Well, that&#8217;s all I&#8217;ve got for you today. \u00a0Don&#8217;t forget we&#8217;ve got the time of fellowship with the Lippas\/Mellwigs tonight at 6:30pm. \u00a0Bring &#8220;California food&#8221; and we&#8217;ll see you there!<\/p>\n<p><em>Pro Rege<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Christianity asserts that every individual human being is going to live for ever, and this must be either true or false.
