Sam Crabtree has a 3-part series on it\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.desiringgod.org\/blog\/posts\/is-it-god-centered-to-praise-people\" class=\"broken_link\">here<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desiringgod.org\/blog\/posts\/moving-from-fuzzy-platitudes-to-concrete-praise\" class=\"broken_link\">here<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desiringgod.org\/blog\/posts\/praising-others-is-not-optional\" class=\"broken_link\">here<\/a>. He has a book called <em>Practicing Affirmation: God-Centered Praise of Those Who Are Not God<\/em>, for those who might be interested.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m not sure if you&#8217;ve heard, but an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.desiringgod.org\/resource-library\/sermons\/john-pipers-senior-sermon-at-fuller-seminary\" class=\"broken_link\">old sermon<\/a> of John Piper recently resurfaced on the Desiring God website. The sermon was given as a senior seminary student at Fuller Theological Seminary, and get this: he spoke on Christian Hedonism.<\/li>\n<li>Why do you pray? Maybe you want God to do something for you. Maybe you do it because you have to. Read what Paul Tautges draws from the Psalms about <a href=\"http:\/\/counselingoneanother.com\/2012\/03\/14\/why-do-you-pray\/\">why the psalmists pray<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Tim Challies pens an article on what it means to be a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.challies.com\/christian-living\/good-churchmanship\">good churchman<\/a> and what such a person does in the context of a local body of believers.<\/li>\n<li>Paul Tripp says that for our &#8220;ministry relationships to be healthy, [we] must have destructive and constructive zeal.&#8221; Does that make sense to you?
