Hello! I moved to San Diego in 2003 to attend UCSD. God saved me in my college years and I’m so thankful that God led me to LBC in 2008. Right away I was blessed by the people I met here – they wanted to hear my testimony and really get to know me. It’s been a tremendous blessing and encouragement to walk the Christian life with brothers and sisters who love the Lord and love one another. God has stretched and grown me a lot through the ministry at LBC. Particularly He has shown me the importance of knowing His Word, living by it, and applying biblical principles to all areas of my life. This is a challenge and accountability is needed. One of the things I love to do is meeting up with other believers to hear about their walks with Christ and encouraging and challenging one another to follow Christ more. As a part of Singles staff I get to do this each week!

While not knowing what a God-glorifying church looks like and how to look for one, God graciously brought me to Lighthouse Bible Church using two dear friends of mine in fall of 2002.  And it was at this church that I came to know Christ as my Savior and Lord by God’s grace.
“O taste and see that the LORD is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” (Ps. 34:8).  “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and whose trust is the LORD” (Jer. 17:7).
Since coming to know Christ, it has been quite a journey living my life according to God’s way.  But how awesome it has been to put my trust and hope in God alone is ineffable.  And I want others to experience this and genuinely worship God.  Hence, I am stoked to continue serving as staff in singles ministry to point fellow single adults to know God’s Word and live out one’s faith according to It.

I moved to San Diego in 2002 to study engineering. I originally came  to LBC in 2005, looking to find a church that would hold me accountable in my walk and provide the examples of solid godly men for me to follow.  I have enjoyed the solid teaching and fellowship with other people who love Jesus at LBC since then.  I have been working as an oceanographic engineer at Scripps Institution of Oceanography since graduating in 2006.    I cherish the time I get to spend with my small group each week as we encourage one another and learn from each person’s walk with God.

  • Favorite Christian Book: Unity of the Bible – Daniel Fuller
  • Favorite Verse: 1 John 1:9

In December 2010, after completing graduate school, I received my permanent change of duty station (PCS) orders to San Diego from the U.S. Navy. Before I moved to San Diego in January 2011, God had graciously blessed me with solid, Bible-teaching churches and older men/elders to shepherd me. Because of God’s guidance and their shepherding, I was able to find LBC and, since then, it has been a tremendous blessing to be part of the LBC family. Shortly after becoming a member, I decided to serve in the Singles Life Administrative Staff. My heart is to serve my single brothers and sisters in the faith and to grow together with them in His knowledge and grace.
